simple 18F4550 LPT programmer

18f4550 programmer

I am building the ICD2 clone and I am using 18f4550 as a bridge to USB. Unfortunately I discovered that I do not have anything to program that particular mcu with. I found some sources, HW and SW that is supposed to work, but it doesn't. Actually I have found two sources and neither works.

I am now stuck with my proto ready and no way of uploading code to the 18F. Any ideas or links?:|

lpt programmer

I used this JDM to program my ICD2 (16f877A and 18f4550) along with software WinPic800 and works OK.



all the diodes (ecepcion zeners) are 1n4148
Transistors are 2n2222

simple lpt programmer

Ok, people. No success. Tried LPT version, but have no ideas left right now. I do have a few questions tough:

Is CLOCK (ICSP) at a constant frequency or is it skewed?

Is it possible something interferes with my LPT port and messes up the whole deal?

Couldn't probram a single byte. Something is very very wrong.
