Hi everyone,

I'm working on SIMCOM5218E and have some trouble about it. I have designed a GUI on PC and communicate with my SIMCOM device. Normally I have communicate from PC to device and from device to PC. But nowadays I could not .
I'm sending client connection from PC to device, device accept and I send some data AT+TCPWRITE from device to PC, it's OK but when I want to send some data from PC to device. Device could not receive data and get me CLOSED error.

I have read some thread and said the problem Sim card's 3G finished limit. I have controlled it's OK.

Has any idea about it?

Regars...

It's not clear if "PC" stands for the computer controlling the gsm modem or the internet peer.

Presume that you can't make inbound connections to a mobile modem, because it's apparent IP address is shared with other devices and the connection attempt can't be routed. Mobile internet providers may offer professional price plans with fixed or at least unique IP address that allow inbound connections. Hopefully, one day we have IPv6 capable mobile modems.

hi FvM,

Thanks for your reply, I have solved my problem. I needed to set AT+CIPMODE=0. Now it's OK working.
