[SOLVED] SIM5320A TinyShine Arduino GSM shield - firmware upgrade issue

Hi,
Current firmware version:
AT+CGMR Revision : +CGMR: 1575B12SIM5320A
Downloaded version B14 **broken link removed**

Shield powered by 5v and connected to USB, recognized OK

FW upgrade by QDL.exe starts OK with "backup qdn" process

after "backup qdn" completes QDL goes to waiting countdown state but shield does't not come back up, so upgrade process exists with error "download failed"

Final state of the QDL has following message

If power is removed from shield and then restored, shield is back to operational state with old firmware

I need to somehow make sure it comes back up after "backup qdn"

received suggestion that they tried it on Windows XP and it worked OK. Installed XP on an old laptop and upgraded successfully:
