Signal Generator Stops Working after 10mins

Hi,
I have this function generator:

It was working normally until yesterday. Now when I switch it on it either display always a strange number on the seven seg or its it displays only zeros and it freezes. When I switch it on in the morning it works for 10mins and then there is no output.. I tried to switch it on/of multiple times but it freezes either showing zeros or the strange numbers.

It seems like a component is getting hot and it swathes off automatically. What component can I check first. I dismantled the unit but there are no signs of blown components. Attached is photo of the inside.

Check the supply voltage and clock generator by use the oscilloscope.

Both the supply is oki. I removed a 74HC74 (D-type ff) from the controller board; the seven seg was disabled (showing Zeros) but I had a perfect output and did not freeze this time all the settings were working. Do you think that the 74HC74 was causing the problem? Now I need to re engage the seven segment aswell..

I may assume what it is a part of circuit control frequency meter. Try compare the signals on it before and after freezing.
