Hi,

I need some advices and some help thanks to everyone

My final project is about the problem of instantaneous frequency for FM signals imbedded in white Gaussian noise
I implemented some of this methods, and I want to do the comparison between this methods. Can you advice me how to do it?

I heard that it’s possible to do the comparison with the Cramer-Rao bounds or the lower variances bounds for the instantaneous frequency estimators. How can I do it? Can you advice me some articles or books to read?

Thanks

Hi
ML estimation is optimum in most case and CRL bound is lower bound.
Then compare your result with them.
Your question is not clear for me. Plz explain clearly for good answer.

thanks for your answer
sorry, i'll try to be clear

My final project is about the problem of ESTIMATION of instantaneous frequency for signals
I implemented some of this methods, Now i wnat to say if these methods are good or not when the signal is imbedded in white Gaussian noise

How can I do that?

Hi,

Refer to " Statistically/computationally efficient frequency estimation" by S. Key.
It has a comparison between the proposed algorithm results and CRLB.

Best Regards.
