I am facing a strange problem while connecting Siemens mobile (C55 & A65) to my controller board.

When I connect the phone to the cable (self made), the phone pulls the RXD pin (data coming from Computer to Phone) down to zero volt. THe phone is OK since I tried 3 different sets and all of them have the same problem. THese phones work OK on a standard off-the-shelf cable.

I am providing the charging voltage to the phone from the same connector as the data signals.

I heard that the siemens connector is dual purpose (USB + Serial port). Can it be possible that the phone is switchind to USB mode somehow.

Any help would be appreciated.
