sharp-angle copper pins

Dear all...
Does anybody knows what are these sharp-angle exposed copper pins on the pads under y and y2 capacitors
and common mode chocks shown in the photos?
Generally you may find them on both sides of a clearance or creepage path on mains ac_dc converters and h.v. boards.
