i cant get it
the colector of the igbts is connecte to the +400v, the emiter is at -400v
the only connection between the power input and the 3524 are the gates of the igbts
if you mean the earth ground which is drawn next to the ac - it is safety ground-it is not connected with the common gnd

Right, that's another drawing error of the copied schematic. DC- must be connected to the controller ground, however. How should the gate control work otherwise?
