serial port interrupt mfc

I am making a C program that communicates with a serial port. I want the reading & writing operations to take place independently. Is it possible for an interrupt to be issued by windows when it receives some input on the serial port?

Hi, thanks for the reply. the link that you have given talks about using a certain class. Isn't that a C++ concept? Is there a way to use that class in a C program?
