I am making a C program that communicates with a serial port. I want the reading & writing operations to take place independently. Is it possible for an interrupt to be issued by windows when it receives some input on the serial port?
Yes, you need to trigger an event when data is received, see this url, it explains how to do this, it can be done in mfc and atl/wtl or native windows.
Hi, thanks for the reply. the link that you have given talks about using a certain class. Isn't that a C++ concept? Is there a way to use that class in a C program?
