Hi.

I'm trying to connect a SIM340DZ modem with my PC using 3 wire serial connection (just Tx, Rx and GND)

According to the SIMCOM datasheet, RTS pin must be connected to GND. The max232 chip is working fine so we can use it to connect with the microcontroller and the hiperterminal software is tested with other devices.

I just want to see an RDY message in my hiperterminal window. I know the default configuration for the serial connection is 115200 bps 8N1

What I am doing wrong?

If any of you have an idea, working cable schematics or something it would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
