serial communication in MATLAB

Can anyone please give a program to recieve data in matlab communicating seially through RS232,

I wrote a piece of code and tried to communicate, I tried to send letter 'A' serially from 8051 to matlab but i am not able to receive the exact data, Each time i run in matlab the Value is changing , suppose say once it will give 65, next 42 next 21, again back to 65 like that. SO please some1 help me

Can you paste the code reading data in matlab and sending data from 8051 ... Then it will be easy to find the Bug
As per your post I think it is a data type. It may be due to sending data type of the data from 8051 and receved data type from matlab differs
