I'm trying to communicate a pc with a Nios development board. From the pc, I'm working with Java, but I have a problem: I don't know how many bytes the information I want to receive from board has... Do I have to use event listeners? How to do it?
Thanks in advance.

hi can i know what is Nios development board and what micro it uses

Nios is a soft-processor (Altera) and "Nios development board" is a board that has an FPGA, serial port, LCD, memory modules and some other stuff, in which you can implement a digital system...
You can read more at: h**p://www.altera.com
