Sending variable through sim300

how do i send variable through sim300 using at commands........i noe tat v need to convert it in ascii n den send but by doing dis d msg received will it have ascii value or d actual decimal value....i.e while reading d msg d person will have be reading ascii value or even if ascii value is sent whatever msg person reads on his phone will have d actual decimal value......

i want d decimal value 2 cum in d msg...so wat do i do...plz reply fast...its urgent...

SIM300 understands ASCII if its configured in text mode ie AT+CMGF=1
u can use decimal to ascii conversion routine for that purpose

I never use SIM300, but generally, send it in ascii, the message will be shown as decimal value by another phone. Also every character (letter, number or sign) is sent in an ascii format (actually 7-bit encoded ascii) and shown as decoded character.

(my english is not very good so i need a time to understand what you wrote. Maybe the many friends here can help you earlier but can not get what you mean)

i think if u send ASCII values for example 49,50 etc in mobile u will get it as 1, 2 etc.. I didn't understand your problem clearly

tat means if i convert d variable's decimal value e.g 72 into ascii n send a msg to my frnd's phone den...... d value displayed in d msg will read 72 or d ascii equivalent of 72.... plz do reply

Yes. If you have decimal value 72, convert it to ascii of 7 and 2 (55 and 50) and send it. When The phone receives that message, it will be displayed as 72.

IF u send 49 it will Display as 1 in the mobile..
If u send 72 then it will display as H..
To display 2 numbers u have to send individually like u display on LCD
