Hello

I want to make an application in which I connect 2 distant micros using rs485. I intend to use max485 .I know that the output of micro is TTL. Will connecting micro directly to max485
will produce a 485 ? or should I convert the TTL to rs232 using max232, then connect its output to max485?

MAX485 can be connected directly to a microcontroller (TTL or CMOS) ..

be aware that max485 is half duplex..
If you want full duplex you have to connect two separate Max485 for TX and RX...

Can you please reattach a clearer photo? This one is not clear

Hi,

I wanna simple circuit which can convert TTL to RS485 as well as RS232, can you share me the circuit for design which takes TTL as input and gives out rs232/rs485 as output. I am planning to use max232 and max 485 IC. I don't know how connection are made. TTL input are coming from GPS Sensors.
i required connection in full duplex form
