semi blind estimation

i am simulationg cochannel interference and i already estimated channel coeffecients of desired user but my metric also wants channel coeffecients of the interferer which i assume isnot right .
can any one tell me how to do that and tell me why i do so as in semi blind only i know training sequence of desired user not the interferer.
also does the training sequence has arelation with the operating carrier frequency ?
