What are all factors to be considered while selecting comparator for perticular application?

The comparator has to be selected duly keeping in view of following requirements

1. Power Consumption
2. Cost
3. Speed
4. Gain

Dear Sir,
Gain mean voltage gain u mean? comparator is going to operate in op-loop only.why we need to consider gain here? Speed means i need to consider slew rate? Do we need consider offset voltage, bias current etc?
