selective/normal wave soldering and keepout

hi.

for tht connectors, sometimes it would be good to put small smd components (resistors, ferrite beads, capacitors) under the connector, next to the tht pads of the connectors.

If the product goes into production (higher volume, 2000-5000pieces), then probably they will use selective wave soldering for the tht connectors.
For sel. w. soldering, a usual keepout area is 3mm around the pads.
Inside it, can i put small components?

what will happen at the wave with the small smd components?

you should not put it into this keep out area, which is no pallet protect these small chip through the wave stove.
