Selecting between using Circuit breaker and building an overload circuit in Inverters

Hello,
Please I would like to know the implications of using either a circuit breaker (in this case an MCB) and building an overload circuit. Which one is more efficient and why?
 

How are you defining 'efficiency'? A circuit breaker is a passive device; it will drop a small voltage, but other than that, there's no loss.
