sega dreamcast wont turn on
Hello, what's happening is this, the DC power source is connected to the mother board trought clamps, and whenever u've got this kind of connection there are micro sparks which dirts the clamps and the pins causing the resistense between them to increase.
what causes the DC to reset is that with this resistense high the clamp which provides 3v doesn't pass all the 3v and just around 2.8v to the processor instead, and whenever the drive runs it needs more of the power source not leaving much for the processor, what makes the DC to reset!
U can get a scourer pad and "clean" the pins and would be better if u could unsold the clamps and do the same to them, and even apply a lil' more presure to them, because the happen to go loose w/ the time.
hope to have been usefull
good luck!!!
