looking at the microchip website, the TA100 appears to be a security device to ensure memory is not corrupted
i do not see a "not for new designs" notice on its basic data sheet
also, since it seems to be critical in cars, especially for the self driving future, if microchip makes it, so
does someone else, and, while it may not be exactly the same, it still looks like encrypted memory.
