Hi,

I need a secure memory to store key. When I search for it in the microchip website, I find a product portfolio CyptographicMemory.

But in all products it says "Not Recommended for new designs". For example https://www.microchip.com/wwwproducts/en/AT88SC0104CA

So, all of them are "Not Recommended for new designs", why isn't there any alternative?

Thanks.

sorry, i know nothing about CyptographicMemory

looking at the microchip website, the TA100 appears to be a security device to ensure memory is not corrupted
i do not see a "not for new designs" notice on its basic data sheet

also, since it seems to be critical in cars, especially for the self driving future, if microchip makes it, so
does someone else, and, while it may not be exactly the same, it still looks like encrypted memory.

try this at maxim:

Hi,

the idea of SD-cards was to design a "secure memory".
"SD"-card stands for "Secure Digital" Memory Card.
Not sure how "secure" a nowadays SD card is. Internet will have information..

There are USB sticks with internal encryption.
also SATA SSDs.
