offset cancellation

hello all,

i am in the process of designing a 10 bit SAR ADC, i was wondering if offset cancellation would be essential in this design and if so which approach is the best?

LSB = 1.6mV

many thanks

I really do not understand why do you need offset calculation because you will use a single comparator in a SAR ADC. Designing the comparator so that it has less input referred offset will take care of a lot of problems. Try to design a Preamp and a latch type.
