Is it possible do make the power line (220V,50Hz) as the medium for RS-232 full dupplex communication? Any one have implemented this?
Please share your knowledge and opinion.
1.freq is not right
2.to ampltide modulate the signal. you need to send a large voltage to the line
3.the 50Hz is fixed as one of the 3 lines is neutral
That is exactly what I mean, but with RS232 protocol instead of USB or ethrnet protocol. Is there anyone design it with RS232? Please share the design, shematic & firmware.
I think you mean bidirectional RS232 and not full duplex. Full duplex means that both sides can transmit simultaneously, like a telephone - this is usuallly accomplished in data networks by using different frequencies. Half duplex means each side takes turns transmitting, like a push-to-talk walkie talkie. Bidirectional half duplex allows each side to talk, but only one-at-a-time (this is the way RS232 computer data exchange normally happens).
