rotary encoder with pic css (velocity, the way determine)

hii I have just known this site.. and I am doing a project about rotary encoder.. I will measure velocity of rotary encoder.. and I couldnt simulated it on proteus.. if anyone helps to me , ı wıll be very glad.. and I will design it on pic css .. and I choosed 16f877A.. if there is a example for it..I can take help from it.. and I want to determine the way of the encoder.. I bought a encoder whıch gıves 1024 pulse per a revolution.. I am waiting your answers.. thanks from now..
