Am tryng to create a device wich can locate(to specify 2D coordinates with respect to walls) an object emittng a particular frequency in a room independent of obstacles in between device and object....
Hope ma idea is clear....
Help plssssss...................

Re: Room Coordinate sytem

By nature of electromagnetic waves, the localization will be affected to some extend by obstacles. Depending on intended accuracy, total distance, size of obstacles, the project may be unfeasible.

Re: Room Coordinate sytem

Sir ,
I modified the idea of the project such that the object(whose location is to b found) emits a laser perpendnicular to the roof....
and camera which takes the image of spot of laser on the roof ,processes it and finds location of the object...
Is this idea feasible ??

There are other, less principle restrictions in this case, accuracy of vertical laser direction (how achieved), camera resolution, roof planarity. But it can basically work. What are your specifications?
