rj45 computer to computer

hi
can i use rj45 ( the 1 used for LAN ) to interface with my circuits ... just like serial ,parallel ports
if it is possible ..can any1 give me any reference to some resources explaining how to do that

dear my friend
you can convert rs232 data to tcp ip by some software,or some hardware

Hi

You will need sort of a controller like a LAN coprocessor or a microcontroller, in my opinion use PIC18F97J60 from microchip, also microchip offers TCP/IP stacks for this mcu family.
take care of isolation issues (coupling transformers and issue like that) & wiring.

Good luck :)
