RHEL server or desktop edition to run cadence license manager ?

Hello,

I am creating a microelectronic lab in my institution. There will be 10 workstations working on RHEL. We will use Cadence Virtuoso EDA tools.
My question is : is it possible to use "Desktop RHEL" edition to run the license manager in the computer that will be used as license server ? Or, this computer must be used with "Server RHEL" edition that is much more expensive ? The unique function of this computer will be running license manager.

If you don't need support, you could use a 'free' equivalent of RHEL, e.g. scientific linux.

Yes, or CentOS. But, I would not like to lose the Cadence support using a non-supported OS.

The FlexLM license manager (now called FlexNet Publisher) can be run on a VERY wide range of systems. There should be no problem at all to use RHEL Desktop,
