RF shield Material to reduce the interference.

RF shield Material

Dear all,

I am designing an RF amplifier and i want to shield the RF portion to reduce the interference. and i wanted to know is there any specific material to be used for RF shield. pls let me know.

Well, almost any metal will do.
Prefer copper, brass or aluminum. These are mostly used.
Aluminum is my favourite as it is lightweight and easy to drill. It can be used as a heatsink too. The disadvantage is that you cannot solder the earth pins of the components to the aluminum directly.
