Restore/Add Mechanical layer

Hi Folks
I have just finished a 4-layer board and realised that somewhere along the way I have lost all the mechanical layers. The Mechanical Layers area of Board Layers and Colors is completely blank. Can anyone suggest how to restore or add mechanical layers?

which tool you are using for routing. If it is in Allegro then update the symbol from the tool bar.
 

Brain snap here - forgot to mention the tool! It is Altium Designer 6.
 

you have to goto layer display and there you have to check display unused layers under mechanical section then you would be able to see the mechanical layers.
