Hi, everyone. I have a question about the metal EBG (mushroom-like) structure's resonant frequency.

What kind of capacitance and inductance determine the 0-reflection frequency and stop-band frequency? Sheet capactance or individual capactance in D. Sievenpiper paer?

And are the resonant frequency determined by L & C the same as 0-reflection phase frequency and stop-band frequency?

Thanks.

hello,

What kind of capacitance and inductance determine the 0-reflection frequency and stop-band frequency? Sheet capactance or individual capactance in D. Sievenpiper paer?
the capacitance between 2 neighbor cells, i.e. the small gap between them.

And are the resonant frequency determined by L & C the same as 0-reflection phase frequency and stop-band frequency?
yes, they should be the same. small deviation is possible because of approximations in analytic model used for determination of L and C.

bye
