I recently finished my PhD in embedded systems. My main area of research is system level-design based around formal models of computation. I am now looking for research jobs in industry with titles like "research scientist" and "reserach engineer" but I can't find many.
I searched on monster, career builder, academic job search websites and on websites of many multinational companies. All I could find is less than ten jobs that have something to do with embedded systems. Around ten research jobs vs. thousands of jobs in development! Is that all there is or am I missing something? Like some secret website with research jobs?
