Required VGA Generator

Hello to everyone,

I need a circuit that generates VGA output test patterns to test Computer monitors. It should be able to generate 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 modes with different scan rates. I got a circuit from net that uses MAX CPLD from Altera, but its pof file is missing. Microcontroller driven circuits using 8051, or PIC are prefferable, CPLDs will also do.
