HI guys,

recently I received an accelerometer from AD ( ADXL202 ) its package is a LCC 8 pins.

The thing is, I never really heard about these packages. it seem PLCC like stuff but I haven't been able to find any sockets for it 8 pins chips.

Then how the industry handle these chips, direct soldering?

Thanks a lot

Regards

Have a nice Day!

direct soldering is the best.
I did with success also by soldering some resistors wires of the same size, and putting it then into a standard dip socket, but that's not "industry handle" !

I haven't been able to find socket for lcc chips too...
if you look at some datasheets, they seems to advise direct soldering.

ok thank you ( ou merci : ) )

I tought about same but I was searching a way more "proper"

LCC sockets are available. I have used several. Very often, PLCC sockets will work for LCC. Check with Emulation Technologies for sockets.
