mmm, interesting...

I really have no experience in the field, but the first topic that came to my mind is:
the monitoring of combustion in engines.

Maybe another interesting viewpoint is the pollution by the production of ICs themselves that could be questioned. Rather dangerous chemicals are being used there.

Electromagnetic pollution is maybe something worth inverstigating

Hope it gave you some ideas
