hi
i have a lot of electronic items that uses the bulky heavy transformer based adapters ,, can i replace them with lighter switched mode regulated adapters?

e.g my current adapter is labelled 12v , 1 amps,, and the new one is 12 volts 1.3 amps?
thanks

I think that adapter with right sized transformator is best power supply source. Of course its heavy, but reliable. I dont trust to much to chinese little switchers. ;-)

Of course if You whant You can replace trafo with switcher. Just pay attention on voltage and amperage, in Your case its ok.

Yes, you can. The voltage should match (switched mode power adapters provide a steady voltage over a range of currents), whereas the current must meet or exceed. So now it’s OK to use the new 12V/1.3Amps instead the old 12V/1Amp power supply.

thanks it really helped,, my issue solved
