Dear All,

Please suggest some fuse for 230V AC input. My application needs fuse, which can be replaced easily. Right now I am using through hole fuse from vishay whose part no is AC050000B2209J6BCS, which is fusible resistor and certified for surge according to IEC 61000-4-5.

I am looking for the fuse which can be placed in PCB using some holder. so if fuse goes, so anyone can go to site and replace the fuse.

Please suggest.

Amit

Please post the specs, and I'll gladly walk you thru each one of them, such that you can make a suitable substitution.

I have a 3 phase AC input to my board. Currently for each phase fusible resistor is there in series. My input range per phase is 190-270V AC.

I had asked about the fuse specs

Anyways, I looked it up and this is not a fuse but a fusible resistor.

Fusible resistor act as safety devices like a fuse does, but have additional circuit features, like inrush current and voltage surge limiting. It will also protect MOVs and provide a series impedance to assist them in clamping overvoltages.

As such, this is a safety component to meet the certification requirements of IEC 61000-4-5.
