I'm not sure, but perhaps you can use thyristors instead of the relays.

Which switches are you talking about? S! - S3 or the relays?

Hi,
Why cann't you connect direct TTL inputs to the counter inputs instead of using the switches? What is the present application for which mechanical switches were originally envisaged?
