remote mount between Sun and Linux

Any suggestion how to remote mount a Sun dirive in Linux host or any better solution to share the files between Linux and Sun? Currently I use ftp to transfer files between two workstations.

Use NFS
1) Include your Linux host in the list of authorized hosts for mounting (/etc/exports I think) Call your System manager to do that
2) Mount the Sun directory in your Linux box (e.g mount -t nfs -o rw,rsize=8192,wsize=8192 sun_host:/path_to_the_sun_dir_for_sharing/ /path_to_the_dir_you_want_your_sun_dir_to_be_mounted_in/ )

You can use NFS, but be sure it is well
configured, patched and possibly behind
a firewall, it has a long history of security
vulnerabilities.
You could also use "rcp" if you need
to quickly move files..
Or you can install Samba (www.samba.org)
on both systems and then files will be sharable
also by Win machines
