i have panel mount relay of 24 v and its coil resistance is 500 ohms, what is the current rating of relay

Hi,

Given is U = 24V, and R = 500 Ohms.
Now you want to calculate the current I.

The relationship between U, I and R is called Ohm's law.

It is the most important formula for any electrician and electronics technician.

Being panel mounted the current rating of the relay is likely to be at least 15 amp at 230Vac . If the contact is 5mm wide it could be 30 amp rating.
