Regarding wind turbine generator design

Is it true that, if you have a wind turbine rotor, you can't generate more power, by redesigning the generator with more sets of coils and magnets??

If this is true, why??


(It might be an obvious answer, but i'm not an expert at all when it comes to electronics :) )
