Hi Friends,

I want to work on 16-bit microcontrollers.
what r all the problems i may face problem in working on 16-bit microcontrollers,as i have so far worked on 8-bit microcntrollers.

Please tell me which are the best manufacturer in 16-bit.
i want to chose philips r ti?

please tell if any?

Regards,
Viswanath.

I do not see why you want to go to 16 bit when you can get 32bit processors for the same price?!
I would sugest that you have a look at the ARM CortexM3 processors. they have 32bit micros with more ram and flash than an 8bit pic for the same price as the 8bit PIC!
The problem you would face is mainly that you would have to learn a new architecture. If you work in C you wont have to get that involved with the new architecture or worry about working in 16 bit.
