hi all,

is it possible to display different languages other than English on an Alpha numeric display?

HI

Yes , but it depend on the ROM inside the LCD you can see the char in the LCD data sheet or try to write char code above the 128 bit size of ASCII

e.g - write ascii code in the range of 128 ~256

Yes, either use the extra RAM on the LCD to define custom characters or use external memory interfaced to the MCU to store the custom characters if you stay withing the (5x7) or (5x8) pixels per character you can display any pattern you like.

Yes but the GCRAM on character LCDs is limited to 8 characters. A GLCD has no character set and can display any language.
