cut off frequency rectangular waveguide

I have a rectangular waveguide with dimensions a = 2.5cms and b = 0.5 cms. I calculated the cutoff frequencies for TE modes as
TE10 fc = 6 GHz
TE01 fc = 29 GHz
TE11 fc = 30 Ghz

Now as I understand, any input signal with frequency less than 6GHz will not propagate in this waveguide.
However if a signal with 6 < f < 29 GHz is introduced, then there is a single mode propagation at TE10.
If a signal with 29<f<30 is introduced, then there are TE10 and TE01 propagating in the guide.
Is my understanding correct here?

cutoff frequency for rectangular

I believe the higher order modes can exist but they will only propagate if they are excited.
