PD refers to Physical Design, ie Placement and Routing

Its better you read the manuals of the tools you are using. The manuals often start with the basics before delving into the commands.

if it's P&R then the best is to follow a tutorial for the tool you're using...that will get you up and running quickly :)

this book deals with algorithms.. if u working then these things r nt useful...learning tool is better way !

ASIC Smith also gives brief intro ...
