I have to give presentation on WiMax Standards. I tried with IEEE papers but these r difficult to understand for a beginner to me.
please recommend any good book or some good material on WiMax standards.

Why don't you go to 802.16 website? There are some tutorials. And it tells you how to download the standard for free.

The attached chapter 2 of the book: "Fundamentals of WiMAX: Understanding Broadband Wireless Networking," is very good summary of Wimax
