reason why ds1307 doesn't work with crystal 32768?

i am using ds1307
but ds1307 dont work with crystal 32768?
but work with any sinusoidal inputy
i change crystal and ic but dont work
please help me

Please check:

If a backup supply is not required, VBAT must be grounded.

I have seen this happening before. I had bought some chinese crystals from Ebay and they didn't work. Then I ordered some from Digikey which worked!
I guess its the crystal impedance problem.

Hello Cmos, Also have the same problem too, it´s the impedance the crystal.

Use crystals removed from old quartz analogue clock movements. It works perfect. Good luck

it must be the problem of your crystal not of ds1307, or u show your diagram then you can be helpped.
