hi,
can you help me please I use NOKIA 5200 to read SMS but the erreur below:

AT+CMGF=1
OK
AT+CPMS=?
+CPMS: (),(),()

OK
AT+CPMS="ME"
ERROR
what's the problem

The previous answer +CPMS: (),(),() clarifies, that the mobile does not allow any selection of preferred SMS message storage.
Obviously "ME" is not a member of "()".

I don't see a problem, thus no solution is needed. Why do you think, you have to set a non default value for CPMS?
 

is it nokia 5200 supported AT Commands ?
i want to interface it with 8051 to send sms
please help me
