Hello,

sorry for my bad english.... I`m from Gemany.... I`m looking for a solution to read back the programm of my Max 7128STC and copy it to a spare one. I use the MAX Plus II 10.23 software and the ByteBlaster MV.... it all ready to go.... I`m able to to wirte a new programm to the CPLD , erase it .... examine it..... but how do I save the programm that i retrieved via the examine function ???? What are the steps I habe to do.... do I load the examined file into a dummy project ???

I found this......

Examine—Loads the programming data from a device into a temporary data
buffer. You can examine only one device in a chain at a time. This
option is mutually exclusive of all other options for that device and
all other devices in the chain. When this option is turned on, all other
device options are unavailable. You must save programming data from
examined devices before you save the Chain Description File (.cdf). Save
programming data for an examined device by selecting the device and
clicking Save File in the Programmer.

but I just don't know how to achive this....

Thanks

Mixchael
