I have a problem understanding measured performance of a microwave radar module compared to radiation pattern.
Datasheet states -20dB side lobe level relative to 0dB main beam. For the same target at the same distance I expect to see output from mixer:
In main beam: 0dB (0+0dB)
In side lobe: -40dB (-20-20dB)
but in reality mixer output from side lobe is -70dB to -80dB, which is much lower than -40dB.

loss and power is omitted in calculations, because only angle is changed by rotating microwave radar
In my understanding side lobe radiates 20dB less than main lobe. If object is placed in side lobe direction, side lobe power reflects from an object and then received by sidelobe with -20db less gain than main lobe.
