hi I have a question. what happened if the incoming signal frequency is beyond the range of the amplifier? let say the amplifier operating range is 350-420MHz. This amplifier is used for 150MHz transmitter. my another question is how does this tell us the signal could be controlled?

this will depend mainly on the amplifier BW , and frequany response , u need to drwan the frequqcy response of the amplifier , using Signal genarator and spectrum analyzer and see

khouly

if the incoming signal frequency is beyond the range of the amplifier, then the gain of amplifier decreases which degrades snr

the amplifier has maximum gain at the operating range... the amplifier may have some value of amplification outside the band... it can be determined only using the frequency response...
