subcircuit name missing

Hi, I am trying to use cadence IC design software...
however I encountered a weird problem..
I made a 2inputs and 3 inputs NAND gate, and it worked file when I simulate them. However, if it gave me errors while I want to simulate their symbols.
the output log always say these:

**error**: subcircuit name missing
>error *** difficulty in reading input
**** job aborted

does anybody know why this happens and how do I fix the problem?
I am using the Hspice simulator in cadence... because somehow my spectre simulator doesn't work...

thanx!

missing subcircuit name

hi...perhaps you should check your model file.

hspice error subcircuit name missing

I know this problem. Spectre simulator is ok, so check your software first. The model for Spectre is *.scs, and for Hspice is *.m. So if you cannot use corresponding model and simulator, the error will appear.

cadence ic design

Have you solve your candence problem? if not, can you describe it more in detail?

this problem may have several causes.

pspice error -- missing subcircuit name

if your getting no solution you can refer to cadence web site for support

**error** subcircuit name missing

Can you describe step by step what you did after you finished transistor level simulation and substitute them by symbol. And how did you get this symbol?

difficulty in reading input

check ur model file.
